Abstract

Postpartum blues in mothers can be dangerous for the safety of both the mother and her child if not handled properly. The purpose of this community service is to enhance the knowledge and skills of healthcare workers regarding psychoeducation for postpartum blues in mothers. This community service activity was attended by 20 health cadres. This activity will use counseling methods packaged with information media such as posters and evaluation of the results of the activities carried out. Following the activity, there was a 16.38% increase in the cadres' knowledge regarding the impact of psychoeducation on postpartum blues in new mothers. This increase was reflected in the pretest score of 77.60 and the posttest score of 92.80. This activity further enhanced the knowledge of health cadres, particularly in the area of psychoeducation as a means of preventing postpartum blues at Posyandu.
