The effectiveness of health education by TikTok platform on increasing adolescent knowledge about premarriage sex in class X of SMK Al- Munawwarah Cilacap

Abstract

Cases of marriage dispensation due to pre-marriage sexual behavior in Indonesia reached 11,505 cases at 2021. One of the preventive efforts to prevent sexual behavior is to raise awareness through TikTok platform. To know effectiveness of health education by TikTok platform on increasing adolescent knowledge about premarriage sex in class X of SMK Al- Munawwarah Cilacap. Quantitative research with a Quasi Experimental research design with Pretest-Postest Without Control group. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling with a sample size of 66 respondents. Data analysis using a non-parametric test (Wilcoxon). The results showed that there is a significant influence of health education through social media (TikTok) on the improvement of knowledge about premarriage sex among adolescents in class X SMK Al-Munawwarah Cilacap (value = 0.000 ≤ 0.05). Premarriage sex education using TikTok is proven to increasing knowledge in class X of SMK Al-Munawwarah Cilacap. Conclusion: Pre- marriage sex education using TikTok is proven to increase adolescent knowledge in class X of SMK Al-Munawwarah Cilacap.
