Abstract
Background and Purpose : Rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is the tearing of the soft tissue of the ACL due to direct or indirect trauma to the knee. The purpose is to determine the effect of Straight Leg Raising Exercise on increasing muscle strength and Ultrasound Therapy modality on the degree of pain in patients with Post Operation conditions Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction. Research Methods : Case study method with 6 treatments using Ultrasound Therapy and Straight Leg Raising Exercise modalities Discussion : Straight Leg Raising can increase the value of muscle strength by activating the muscles so that facilitating body metabolism and increasing the formation of sarcomeres so that value of muscle strength increases. Ultrasound Therapy reduces pain through a mechanism by activating āPā substance, prostaglandin, bradikinin, and histamin which will stimulate the induction and proliferation process so that pain is reduced. Conclusions : based on the results of the research conducted by evaluating using Manual Muscle Testing (MMT), and Numeric Rating Scale (NRS), it can be concluded that the Straight Leg Raising Exercise modalities and Ultrasound Therapy is effective for increase the value of muscle strength and decrease the degree of pain in patients with Post Operation conditions Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction.
