The Effectiveness Of Audiovisual Media (Video) Regarding HIV/AIDS Prevention For Teenagers At Al-Irsyad’s High School Cilacap

Abstract
Free sexual behavior increases the likelihood of contracting HIV, STIs, and unwanted pregnancies. Among teenagers who have engaged in sexual intercourse, 7% of men and 12% of women experience unwanted pregnancies. One way to prevent the transmission of HIV/AIDS among teenagers is through the application of educational videos. The purpose of the research is to determine the effectiveness of video media for teenagers regarding HIV/AIDS prevention at SMA Al-Irsyad Cilacap. The type of this research is quantitative with a Quasi-Experimental research design and uses a pretest-posttest one group design. Sampling was conducted using cluster randomized sampling, with a total of 30 respondents. The research utilized a Google Form questionnaire. The data analysis technique used the Wilcoxon test. The research results obtained show that the knowledge of Al-Irsyad Cilacap High School students before being educated through video, only 8 students (26.7%) had high knowledge, the majority were in the moderate category with 13 students (43.3%), and 9 students (30%) had low knowledge. After being educated through video, there was an increase marked by 26 students (86.7%) having high knowledge, 4 students (13.3%) having moderate knowledge, and none having low knowledge (0%). The Wilcoxon test obtained a p-value of 0.000, meaning p is less than 0.05, thus concluding that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, indicating the effectiveness of video education on the increase in HIV/AIDS prevention knowledge at SMA Al-Irsyad Cilacap.
